Little Love Poem

Here is a little bit of a throwback. I wrote this poem in 2014 for a gal I really liked. We went on a date after she read this, and it was actually quite lovely. We had really good chemistry. Everything went well. Well at least i thought so. Unfortunately we never dated again because she wanted to be friends. She started dating another guy two weeks after, which I was displeased about. But hey! What can you do? Anyway here’s the poem of me being a hopeless romantic yet again.

You have this luminescent glow, so radiant and pure.

Without a doubt, a Victoria’s Secret Model. Of this I am sure.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I believe that to be true.

There’s over 200 billion stars in our solar system and none of them shine as bright as you.

In the top right corner is your favourite colour, but it is also a gem.

Representing rarity, quality and uniqueness combined.

An extremely rare gem so picturesque and exotic.

This ornamental stone is a 1 in a million and like you, very hard to find.

How you are still single is without a doubt just plain crazy, unless you choose to be.

Surely I’m not the only one who finds you attractive, surely it’s not just me.

I mean people could get lost in your brown eyes, the way the twinkle when you smile.

Not to mention that silky dark hair that seems to go on for miles! (How do you get it looking so silky?)

I remember the first time I saw you order from Red Rooster, I asked Tess about you.

Not going to lie I fell weak at the knees and started turning blue. (I think I turn blue when I blush, weird hay!?)

Couldn’t stop smiling for days and then you added me on FB.

I felt like the luckiest guy in the world so I went out and bought some lottery. (Didn’t win though)

I mean I was intoxicated, it was as if the Priceline girl slipped me a pill or two.

I was star struck for ages, didn’t know what to do.

So I decided to message you, at least give it a shot.

I mean it’s not always you find someone that hot.

I tried making her laugh by telling some terrible jokes, don’t think it worked. Damn!

‘Heard you wanted a hot chocolate, so here I am!’

I’m not going to lie, I don’t know a lot about this girl but she is definitely a winner!

Haha I even remember trying to invite her out to dinner.

She has that glow and you could just stare at her for days! In a non-creepy way.

Always dressed to kill, I think you know what I’m trying to say.

When you write poems, they have to come from the heart.

And with this poem I didn’t know where to start.

Once I did, it was easy for me to express.

Especially once you speak of the truth, it’s easy to confess.

Shannon, true beauty is hard to find, because it consists of having it both inside and out.

I believe true beauty describes you, without a doubt.

I’d say you’re a lovely blue rose, just beginning to bloom.

I hope you’re smiling as you read this, lighting up the room.

I’m sure once I get to know you more, my expectations of you will get higher.

Definitely someone other women should admire.

My words are now on paper, nothing more I can do.

Shannon what happens next, I’ll leave that up to you!

How cheesy was that!!!!??? As you were reading my poem, I hope that put a smile on your face and lightened up your day!!!
